On this week’s episode of the IR Update, Amanda Munhoz interviewed Matt Brown, investor relations from Pinecliff Energy. He started the interview by reviewing Pinecliff’s investment thesis; and how the company distinguishes itself from its peers in the traditional energy industry, based on three pillars: location, product, and legacy assets.
The main challenge in investor relations he has faced thus far is reaching out to analysts and investors who do not necessarily voice a favorable opinion of the company, and use it as an educational opportunity and a chance to improve communication.
Retail investors are very relevant to the company, and Matt shares tips on how to better address this audience: Be accessible, create connection, understand the audience, and make them feel informed and understood. Lastly, Matt discusses ESG and some of the metrics used by Pinecliff to track its progress.
